Mercedes CLS 320 CDI

The E-Class chassis has been modified for the CLS. . The cars on air springs and shallower tyres have a firmer ride around town.

The CLS is a wonderfully refined car. There's little road noise from any source. All engines are smooth, as is the gearbox, and the accelerator response has been programmed to prevent jerky take-offs.

Mercedes CL500

CL500 is incredibly quick, although acceleration isn't on a par with other super-coupes like the Bentley Continental GT.

The CL has a superbly comfortable ride and handles exceptionally well. Wind and road noise are almost entirely banished from the cabin. The automatic transmissions are also very slick.

Mercedes C220 CDI Saloon/Coupe

There are two distinct versions, geared towards comfort or sportiness. Both have adaptive suspension that react to road conditions, but Sport models feature lower, stiffer settings and more direct steering. The result is a car that changes direction quickly and with less roll than the standard C-Class. The ride is still far from harsh.
